SimpleQuiz

Privacy

SimpleQuiz keeps only what it needs to run quizzes and study sets. Here is all of it.

If you have an account

  • Your email address and how you sign in, so you can sign in again.
  • The quizzes and study sets you make, with their questions and the images you upload.
  • Results of the live games you host: the nicknames players chose and their answers. They are deleted 7 days after the game ends.
  • When you study while signed in: for each question, how often you answered it, how often correctly, and your last answer; the questions you starred; and your finished sessions. No other user can see them: the person who made a set never sees your progress.

If you play or study without an account

  • Joining a live game needs only a nickname. It is kept with your answers as part of that game's results, which the host can see, and deleted 7 days after the game ends.
  • Study progress is kept only in your browser, not on our servers, until you sign in. Signing in moves it into your account.
  • To slow down people guessing game codes, failed join attempts are counted by a scrambled form of your IP address, never the address itself, and forgotten after a day.

In your browser

  • Sign-in cookies, and your choice of theme and language.
  • For live games, a token that lets you rejoin after a dropped connection. For study sets, your progress and the sets you opened recently.
  • No advertising or tracking cookies, and no analytics.

Who handles the data

  • Supabase stores the database, accounts and images; Vercel runs the website; Resend sends the sign-in emails. We don't sell data, and nothing is sent to AI services.
  • Anyone with a study set's link can open that set. Its owner can change the link at any time, and the old one stops working.

Removing your data

  • Signed in: Account → Delete my account removes your account and everything in it at once, including your images.
  • Study progress for one set: Statistics → Start over.
  • Without an account: clearing this site's data in your browser removes everything kept there.
